Why Use the Medicare Insurance Quotes Co. to find a plan?
We work on behalf of your best interests. We work for you, not for the health care carriers.
Medicare Supplement
Are you concerned about medicare costs? A medicare supplement insurance plan helps your out of pocket costs to cover the “gap” that original medicare does not cover. You can get these medigap plans through private insurance companies. All medigap plans must be identified as “Medicare Supplement Insurance”. You must have both Medicare Part A and B to obtain a Medicare Supplemental insurance plan. Remember, Medicare Supplement plans are regulated by federal and state laws so benefits within plans of the same letter are generally the same among all insurers.
Medicare Advantage
Private health insurance companies may offer Medicare Advantage Plans to coordinate the benefits of Original Medicare. These plans are also known as Medicare Part C. Medicare Part C plans are required to cover urgent care, emergency care and everything that Medicare Part A and B covers (except hospice care). Hospice care is covered by Original Medicare even if you have a Part C plan. The primary difference between a Medicare Advantage plan and Original Medicare are the out of pocket expenses you pay when you receive care. You may have a smaller deductible or have lower coinsurance and copayments.
Medicare Part D
Private insurance companies may also offer Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage. If you are eligible for Medicare Part A and B you can sign up for Part D coverage provided you live in the service area of a Part D plan. If you have Medicare Part C, a Medicare Advantage plan, you may get a plan that also includes Part D coverage known as a Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug Plan, or MAPD. Your out of pocket expenses and plan premiums may vary from plan to plan. It is recommended that you review your Part D plan every year to ensure the medications you need now and in the future are covered.
